A force to be reckoned with; singer/songwriter Krista Green has been performing to audiences for over twenty years. Original and versatile with her performances and song choices- whether it’s high energy sing-alongs, or a more relaxed atmosphere you are seeking, she will guarantee a great show.
Armed with her acoustic guitar, trusty loop pedal, and distinctive smokey vocals, the winner of ‘BMTH Unplugged 2011’ has released three successful albums to date, and regularly travels around the country to entertain new crowds; playing both as a solo artist, and with her band ‘Krista Green & The Bees’.
The Bournemouth based musician has a large repertoire of original music, and popular covers so can play to suit just about any crowd. With her unique blend of indie/pop/rock, she has gained a loyal fanbase; spanning multiple countries across the globe, leading her to support world-renowned artists such as Nizlopi, KT Tunstall and The Manfreds.
Her eclectic choice of covers spans decades of music, including songs from The Beatles, Bob Marley, and Buddy Holly, through the years to present-day artists such as Ed Sheeran, Elle King and George Ezra; appealing to audiences of young and old alike. Her original material takes you on a lyrical journey that is authentic and unapologetically honest, fluctuating between songs that can bring a tear to even the driest of eyes, to upbeat feel-good pop/rock that you can not help but get up and dance to.
Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, she has been songwriting for twenty+ years and is currently working on her fourth album.
Her love of the stage started at a young age, performing in pantomimes at The Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth. She went on to study ISTD ballet, tap and modern for more than a decade, and in the years that followed gained experience in a variety of entertainment and childcare work across the UK.
Krista has performed in multiple theatre company tours, providing education through theatre and interactive workshops to hundreds of children across Dorset and Torquay. She has taught singing and musical theatre for schools in London and Dorset, and now co-owns a performing arts school in Bournemouth 'South Coast Dance and Arts'; teaching group classes and private lessons, specialising in voice, guitar and drums, alongside studying for a degree in Music and Sound Production.
